Introduction

With more than a billion active monthly users, Facebook has an overwhelming amount of data to track. That data includes information about users interacting with Facebook pages. Businesses and organizations rely on that information to make decisions about content and possibly promotion strategies. But how reliable is that data? 

This lesson will cover some of the measurement errors already reported on Facebook, which have affected page managers and advertisers.

Summary

Facebook offers several tools for page managers to track activity on their pages. While that can be helpful to monitor what content performs better than others, page managers should consider how much confidence to give that data. There have been at least a dozen instances of Facebook measuring metrics incorrectly.
